Kabukicho Walking Tour

This is a two-hour walk through Kabukicho with American guides who have lived here more than 12 years. It covers the streets, history, and context you need to understand the district before spending money there. The route works well for travelers who only have an evening to spare.

What you'll see

We walk the neon strip past the Toho building and Godzilla Road, then into the back alleys most visitors never notice. We point out the host and hostess club blocks and explain who they are for and how the pricing works from the outside. We cover the love hotel streets and explain their place in Tokyo. You will know which doors are worth walking through later and which ones are built to trap tourists.

How the walk runs

You get a meeting point in the Shinjuku area once your inquiry is confirmed. The walk runs about 120 minutes, on foot, at a relaxed pace. Your guide handles the Japanese, reads which touts to ignore, and keeps you out of the streets that are just for locals passing through. The route ends after the street orientation, and the ¥12,000 booking covers the walk.
